At Pacific Coast Steel, the first consideration in the performance of our work is the safety of our employees. This philosophy has created a proactive safety culture where each employee accepts responsibility in helping prevent accidents.

Pacific Coast Steel’s best management practices are performance based with a primary focus on eliminating all incidents/injuries while improving efficiency. At PCS, our foreman are recognized as the first line of defense against accidents/injuries, and are considered Safety Stewards wherever they work. We train them, prepare them and instill in them a personal responsibility for the safety of their workers, the public and their peers. PCS supports and rewards leadership that reinforces the safety culture by rewarding, encouraging, recognizing, and reinforcing appropriate behaviors.
